Adhesives traditionally been upgraded in bonding performance with plasticizer in many applications. In polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) systems, plasticers can also be very effective in Tg reduction and provide viscosity increase in the final emulsion. We can use food grade plasticizers, but their are various non-food, industrial plasticizers many other plasticizers,that can be blended in our adhesives to reach your desired final properties. Intercol's vinyl acetate ethylene copolymer adhesives formulations (VAE) are often designed to meat european Food regulations/law.
As in PVAc adhesives, the viscosity increase in VAE can be different from other polymers in our range. To optimize our adhesive formulation, blends of different polymers and other raw materials are possible. We can use hiighly effective non-phthalate plasticizers for cellulosic resins, cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose, and ethyl cellulose. Intercol offers adhesives for laminating.
