Polyolefin hot melt (hotmelts)
Polyolefin hot melt adhesives are generally high molecular weight compounds. The Adhesive's low surface energy and capability to wet almost all polymeric (plastic) and metallic substrates, makes them a general purpose hot melt adhesive. The molecular weight of polyolefin-hot-melt used in the adhesive formulation is high. Using polyolefine, end users increase heat seal strength (warm strength and heat resistancy), viscosity and the hot tack properties. On the other side the use of Polyolefine against EVA increases the flexibility and low temperature performance of most of our hot melt adhesives. Polyethylene, polypropylene and their derivatives, amorphous polyolefins and chlorinated polyolefins may be considerd in our polyolefin (or metallocene) adhesive formulations.
